A Community of Support
A network of local businesses that have agreed to present themselves as a place for survivors of Intimate Partner Violence and/or Sexual Violence to (1) have access to a phone to contact services and (2) to have a place to wait for services to respond.
The PorchLight Project
A collaboration of the Buncombe County Family Justice Center Partner agencies, Helpmate and Our Voice, working to strengthen our community in an effort to create a stronger network of support for survivors.
At a designated PorchLight location, survivors are able to make a phone call to Helpmate, Our Voice, or 911, and wait in a welcoming and discreet location while those services respond.

Become a Partner
PorchLight Community Partners receive specialized training about the dynamics of intimate partner and sexual violence, and then elect to offer a phone call to connect with crisis services and a place to wait for survivors in need.
If you’re interested in being a PorchLight Partner, please call us or submit the form.
